by South and City College Birmingham at The Arches Project

8-9 June 2015

Last 8-9 June The Arches Project hosted Exposure, a photography and footage exhibition by South and City College, Birmingham.Young and talented photographers and videographers students had the opportunity to showcase their own works in The Arches' vibrant setting located in Digbeth, a few steps away from the city centre.

Urban and countryside landscapes, portraits, details and scenes are shot from an unusual and original point of view. The subjects are rendered with particular techniques (such as the collages one), lights and shadows effects and studied angles, so as to make everyday life appear like something special: a dream, a fantastic world or still the real one, but emerging vivid from the ordinary as we are used to.

The exhibition, which lasted two days (from 4pm on Monday to 2pm on Tuesday) was well attended by families, friends and the general public. This exhibition was of a high standard in terms of layout and execution. We are very pleased to know that some of the students' work was sold at the show with a lot of interest on other pieces. Well done, students of South and City College: be proud of yourself! We wish every success to all of you and to those who are going on to university!
