The Arches Project

Here is a big poster by  Frédéric Art  which represents in a comic way a surreal meet up among characters from different eras and centuries. Go through the scenes and spot the path he creates through the ages! Let’s learn about that directly by  Frédéric Art ’s words… “What can I tell about this drawing? First of all, what pushed me to draw this topic? I am keen on studying History and so I wanted to apply this knowledge to my cartoon, being inspired by the ‘chaotic’ cartoon strips by  Guillermo Mordillo , an amazing Argentinian cartoonist. In fact, the scene in this cartoon is very chaotic as well... I mean, it doesn’t follow a chronological order. I preferred this kind of approach, because it allowed me to create a drawing with a very funny and humorous effect, as the viewer tries to linger and analyse every single character and situation that I have delineated.
